Data Mining With Weka

In 2011, I completed several class projects utilizing a software "workbench" called Weka, a collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks. The algorithms can either be applied directly to a dataset or called from your own Java code. Weka contains tools for data pre-processing, classification, regression, clustering, association rules, and visualization. It is also well-suited for developing new machine learning schemes.

The classes were based on the textbook Data Mining: Practical Machine Learning Tools and Techniques by Ian Witten. Course content included input/output models, machine learning algorithms, neural networks, support vector machines, and advanced methods and applications. Weka's graphical user interface offers a more accessible introduction to machine learning, for those individuals less inclined towards computer programming.
